  • Verto, which is a provider of foreign exchange and cross-border payments services, has confirmed that it has launched a new application programming interface (API) solution based on its RESTful API.
  • Clients will be able to benefit from an improved approach to beneficiary management and global payouts, it is believed.
  • “Our RESTful API has been designed with developers in mind to cut down the integration period while simultaneously allowing business owners to scale globally,” said a senior figure at the company.

Verto, a provider of foreign exchange and online money transfer services, has confirmed that it has launched a new API solution.

The firm said that it had made the move in order to automate currency conversion for its business clients.

Clients can also benefit from an improved approach to beneficiary management and global payouts, according to press reports.

The API push is also expected to allow financial technology, payroll and HR companies to build a full finance services system for use by their clients.

The system is built on Verto's RESTful API, which is designed to minimise integration time while letting clients scale globally.

“Verto’s new API solution will turbocharge businesses globally, giving them the quickest and most efficient way to integrate local and international payments into their products,” said Anthony Oduu, co-founder and chief technical officer of Verto.

“Our RESTful API has been designed with developers in mind to cut down the integration period while simultaneously allowing business owners to scale globally,” he explained.

“Embedded finance is the next big thing for our industry,” said the firm’s chief executive officer and co-founder, Ola Oyetayo.

“And embedded payments, in particular, are making life easier for businesses and consumers worldwide by completely streamlining the entry process, driving up customer satisfaction and unlocking new revenue opportunities for businesses.

“While embracing APIs is a big shift for the industry, our partners have shown great interest in this solution,” he said.
