About Us

FXcompared.com is the leading global resource to help you make the best decision about your international money transfer needs. To date, our users have transferred over US$1.7 billion via the providers listed on our site. We believe that through a detailed, research-led approach, we can ensure we continue to provide the best information to allow you to compare money transfer providers internationally.

We first launched our comparison service in September of 2009, and today we support over 80 currencies across 126 countries. In addition to our comparison services, we also offer a currency volatility tool and currency audit tool to further assist individuals and businesses with their international money transfer needs.

FXcompared has its roots in a business called sendmoneyhome. Sendmoneyhome.org was launched in March 2005 and was originally funded and supported by the UK Government's Department for International Development (DFID). Working for DFID and the World Bank, the site established itself as the widest reaching and most comprehensive independent online comparison site for international money transfers, focusing on migrant worker remittances. FXcompared was developed out of this as a project focusing on the higher value end of the private transfer space as well as the corporate transfer space

Intellectual Property

Innovation is at the heart of our company. We are constantly striving to develop the best technologies to support our money transfer comparison products. In October 2019, we were issued with our first patent for our referral technology, allowing us to power brands such as MoneySupermarket, the International Migration Agency and DailyMail online.
