Data Engineer (London)

As the Data Engineer at FXC Intelligence, you will design and develop new batch and real-time data integration feeds using the latest technologies. You will be responsible for the overall design of the solutions you provide.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to identify, collect and transform data
  • Optimise existing and develop new data integration workflows
  • Identify and diagnose data inconsistencies, errors and problems with source data
  • Responsible for ensuring business critical integration workflows and processes are fit for purpose

Skills

  • Experience designing and implementing databases. OLTP, OLAP, data-warehouses
  • Messaging systems, Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT workflows (Airflow, Luigi), schedulers, and event-based triggers
  • Experience working as part of an Agile software development team
  • Experience using Git, Docker, Jenkins
  • At least 2 years programming experience using languages such as Python or Java
  • This is a great opportunity to be part of a large event streaming data platform implementation using the latest technologies including Apache Kafka and a range of database types.

Software Developer (London)

FXC Intelligence is looking for a Software Developer to join our London team and help work on our datasets related to the payments, FX, cards and financial service industry. We are a fast growing fintech with a client list of household brands with coverage across leading press such as The Economist.

As a Software Developer you will help to expand the data integration workflows and create data structures as we onboard new data sources into the platform.

    Tableau Developer (London)

    FXC Intelligence is looking for an enthusiastic Tableau Developer with a passion for problem-solving, data and visualisations to work alongside out data and product teams. You will be responsible for a variety of work streams including generating insight, data visualisation and product optimisation. To succeed in this role, you need to be creative with both data and visualisations and have a passion for creating things from scratch.

    • Evidence of analytically challenging projects in IT that include SQL query writing and reporting design
    • Work to develop reports and analyses using SQL, BI & statistical tools against the data warehouse and the data quality framework
    • Monitor, investigate and resolve issues with the ETL and reporting processes
    • Oversee the execution of scheduled analyses, reporting and model processes and automate repeat tasks using available SQL & BI tools

    Skills

    Research Analyst (London)

    Our research division FXC Intelligence is looking for a research analyst to expand our custom research efforts and produce content related to the payments, FX, and financial service industry.

    Role description

    This role will have two primary functions: first, conducting desk research into trends and companies within the financial services space to populate our online data portal; second, helping produce FXC Intelligence’s weekly newsletter and other custom research reports. This role has significant room for growth and expansion as all content and research work is currently being split between other employees.

    FXC Intelligence is a growing startup in the FinTech space - we will provide plenty of training and support but once up to speed you will be encouraged to make this role your own!

    Requirements

    • Ability to synthesize disparate data into concise written reports
    • Familiar with both qualitative and quantitative data
    • Demonstrated analytical ability
    • Ability to produce work within tight deadlines
    • Excellent English

    Responsibilities

    • Producing written intelligence reports about trends within the payments and financial services industry
    • Helping write, source content for, and edit a weekly newsletter
    • Supporting our data science and product team with ad hoc desk research
    • Generating new ideas for content and marketing

    Management Accountant (London)

    We are looking for a fully trained accountant to manage the day to day accounting for the business. You will have a direct impact supporting the running of fast growing data company in the fintech sector.

    • Preparing management accounts, budgets and cash flows
    • Prepare final year accounts
    • Manage payables and receivables
    • Execute payroll
    • Prepare and submit VAT returns
    • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements

    Nice to have:

    Qualifications and Experience

    • ACA qualified
    • Must have Quickbooks experience

    DevOps Engineer (London)

    FXC Intelligence is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our London team and help manage our infrastructure and platform related to the payments, FX, cards and financial service industry. We are a fast growing fintech with a client list of household brands with coverage across leading press such as The Economist.

    As a DevOps Engineer you will focus on automating builds via CI/CD pipelines and getting code into production as quickly and efficiently as possible; supporting services before they go live via system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews. You’ll use automation to scale systems sustainably and help to make improvements, evolving systems and driving change that improves reliability, speed and security.

    We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who has demonstrated experience working directly with software engineers.

    You must have worked in a DevOps engineering position for at least the past 3yrs and ideally come from a software background.

    Requirements and Experience

    • Strong Linux / VM Software (KVM)
    • Experience with building CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins
    • Experience creating Infrastructure as code / Terraform
    • Cloud AWS
    • Setting up and managing distributed processing frameworks (Kafka, Zookeeper)
    • Experience managing distributed databases
    • Experience of containerization frameworks (Docker)
