Data Scientists (New York and London)

FXcompared Intelligence is our research and insights division. We are looking for full-time Data Scientists to be responsible for analysis and presentation of our data.

Role will include

  • Analyze data to answer business questions and produce data-driven stories that reveal key insights into behavior, in particular using data visualization
  • Normalizing various forms of data. Populating SQL tables from scraped data.
  • Collation of data from external sources
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL is preferred.

Strategic Partnerships Manager (London)

The strategic partnerships manager will be working to expand our range of existing partnerships and affiliate relationships and manage some our existing relationships. The candidate will also be expected to have a role in the management of their accounts brought on-board. Candidate must have experience with existing financial services clients.

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain an account list while meeting annual revenue goals
  • Quickly establish credibility and trusted relationships with prospective partners
  • Work with publishers and partners to optimize delivery and campaign performance
  • Analyze publisher statistics to maximize revenue, identify opportunities, optimize campaigns and troubleshoot issues
  • Implement initiatives that enhance affiliate productivity, create new growth opportunities and increase ROI
  • Participate in internal project-related meetings including internal brainstorms

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree
  • At least three years online business development experience or experience managing a successful online/mobile affiliate or partnership program
  • Knowledge of and strong interest in online media and the financial services world

Product Manager (New York)

The Product Manager will be responsible for maximising the potential of FXcompared product offerings across web and mobile. The focus will be on developing our suite of products that will enhance customer engagement throughout the process.

Knowledge of product management best practices, and a keen focus on user engagement are essential. Key responsibilities

Team management & operations

  • Lead and work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve business issues
  • Develop and put in place best practice processes and procedures for managing projects from idea generation to post-launch measurement

Product vision

  • Champion the vision for all FXcompared products including business goals, user experience, strategy and functionality
  • Remains on top of trends in leading website design and functionality, integrating new technologies into FXcompared as they emerge

Product roadmap

  • Ensure all product decisions aligned with product vision and values
  • Own and refine the product roadmap process to ensure that product decisions incorporate inputs from all the appropriate internal and external sources
  • Manage the prioritisation of product initiatives based on analytical cost / benefit business cases

Product design

  • Establish strong processes and systems for product design specification including significant use of customer journey mapping and expectations
  • Ensure front end design team work integrated seamlessly with overall product development

Product delivery

  • Ensure there is a strong process in place to track and manage the product delivery cycle of all product initiatives
  • Establish processes to flag and address any deviations from the target goals

Product performance

  • Understand key metrics and conduct analysis to drive continual improvement in the product
  • Optimise and analyse product performance and respond quickly to diagnose and correct any problems

Requirements

  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing the full product lifecycle, from conception to launch and post-launch evaluation and improvement
  • Strong understanding of analytics best practices, key performance indicators, and ways in which site architecture influences the ability to track visitor behavior
  • Experience managing UX and UI designers and developers
  • Experience working in a fast-paced project management environment
  • Experience collecting and synthesizing product input from multiple sources (users, testers, business development, partners, engineering, competitive products, management, etc.)
  • Understanding of UX design, site usability and conversion rate optimization
  • At least three years of product management experience within a test-driven online technology company
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; superior organizational and analytical skills
  • Team-player, self-managed and fast-learner
  • Experience working in start-up or growth environment and possess an entrepreneurial spirit

Data Engineer / Python Developer (New York)

The Data Engineer will be part of our engineering team with a special emphasis on data management. The ideal candidate has software development experience and is well versed with various data warehousing solutions technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines for ETL (extract, transform, load) processes
  • Build tools in Python to help end users access and process their data more efficiently
  • Design efficient schemas for new and existing datasets
  • Participate in architectural decisions for new software components
  • Implement new product features
  • Implement performance improvements to existing products (especially where accessing data is a bottleneck)
  • Serve as a bridge between the Engineering and Analytics teams
  • Advise and support the Analytics team on how to conduct their work in a scalable, reliable, and efficient way

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, Information Science, Statistics, etc.), or 4+ years experience in a relevant role
  • Extensive experience with Python
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Experience architecting solutions with large volumes of data (structured and unstructured)
  • Experience with at least one tools in each of the following categories:
  • Columnar Databases/Data warehousing (e.g. Redshift, Vertica)
  • Distributed Processing (e.g. MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Pig)
  • Key-Map/Value Data Model (e.g. HBase, Cassandra, Redis)

Conversion Marketing Manager (New York)

The Conversion Manager will own conversion optimization at all points along the customer journey, including paid ads, landing pages, website lead generation, as well as the impact of PR and Content. The candidate will also be expected to implement simple ad campaigns, primarily SEM and Facebook including tracking parameters to enable clean measurement of data through to conversion.

  • Understand the marketing and business metrics inside and out
  • Understand the website analytics inside and out and be able to proactively identify changes in trends as well as investigate answers to business questions through data
  • Own all marketing A/B testing throughout the customer journey
  • Create and maintain a Marketing Metrics Dashboard to maintain a pulse on the business
  • Define and maintain a tracking parameter system to ensure data passes from trafficked links all the way through to conversion
  • Give concrete SEO recommendations to Content team, including keywords, titles, topics, etc.
