  • Saudi Arabia’s tourism industry is set to get a boost with the introduction of the Dream of the Desert luxury train in 2025.
  • This milestone, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region, will not only provide qualitative services and additional transportation options, but also support national strategies and improve the quality of life for the people.
  • The project is being spearheaded by Arsenale Group, an Italian company known for its expertise in luxury hospitality and international hotel and resort management.

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) and the Italian Arsenale Group, a leading company in managing luxury train trips, have recently announced plans to launch the Dream of the Desert luxury train service in Saudi Arabia.

The partnership aims to bring a new level of sophistication to train travel in the kingdom, aimed at wealthy international travellers.

With a maximum capacity of 80 passengers, the Dream of the Desert train will have 40 cabins and is set to make its debut in Saudi Arabia in 2025.

In a recent ceremony attended by Saleh Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics; the CEO of SAR, Dr. Bashar Al-Malik; and Paolo Barletta, CEO of the board of directors of Arsenale Group, an agreement was signed.

This agreement paves the way for the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties earlier this year.

International high net-worth individuals (HNWIs) looking to experience the Dream of the Desert luxury train should use safe modes of money transfer when booking their trip.

The train will traverse a 770-mile route from Riyadh to Al-Qurayat, providing passengers with views of desert landscapes.

With initial production stages already underway in Italy, the train promises to provide an Orient Express-style luxury travel experience.

Minister Al-Jasser expressed his gratitude for the support from the leadership and highlighted the cooperation between the transportation and logistics services system and various parties, to enhance transportation patterns and enhance the overall customer experience.

This development reflects SAR’s dedication to its strategic role in implementing innovative initiatives in line with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.

The Dream of the Desert will provide visitors and residents with the opportunity to explore more regions of the kingdom. As the demand for luxury travel experiences continues to soar, this highly anticipated train is expected to attract discerning travellers from around the globe.

HNWIs wishing to travel on this train can secure their bookings early by making safe international payments.

Wealthy travellers should ensure that they take advantage of the best exchange rates available.
