This includes information by which you are personally identifiable including without limitation your name, country of residence, telephone number, email address, our user or session ID that we allocate to you, money transfer particulars, any comments posted to us or submitted online, including any notes that you include when you submit your quotation request and other information from which you can be identified and which you may disclose to us when you use our services or otherwise via the site at any time.

    1. We may collect and process your Data when you:
      1. provide any information by filling in forms on our site through any of our services or products;
      2. search or compare money transfer services provided by our selected third party providers/fx brokers (Transfer Providers);
      3. post a comment or leave a note on our site;
      4. enter a competition, promotion or survey or other feature hosted by FXcompared;
      5. make a complaint, report a problem, submit an enquiry or provide other feedback through our site or otherwise; or
      6. correspond or communicate with us by phone, email or otherwise.
    2. When you visit our site we may automatically collect the following information:
      1. technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform; and
      2. information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); transfer services you searched or applied for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.
    3. We will also receive information that you provide to our Transfer Providers for the purpose of completing a money transfer. This information will be shared and used in accordance with this privacy policy and the Transfer Provider’s privacy policy. Once you have completed a money transfer via a Transfer Provider that you were introduced to by using our site, we may also receive information that you provide to the Transfer Provider, to the extent they are permitted to do so and in the course of future money transfers concluded directly with that Transfer Provider. This information may include for example: your name, your customer ID number, the date on which you were referred to the Transfer Provider, currency and margin information relating to the trade, your geographical location, whether it is your first trade or subsequent trade, and non-individual specific information such as the total number of referrals received from FXcompared by the Transfer Provider; the number of new registrations received by the Transfer Provider from FXCompared; and general statistical information relating to the referral and currency conversion itself. This information is typically sent to us on a monthly basis.
    4. We also work closely with other third parties (including, for example, other business partners, subcontractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.

      6. to email you to send you confirmation of the quote selected;
      7. to email you to let you know if the Transfer Provider that you have selected is unable to perform the trade in accordance with your request;
      8. to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods or services we feel may interest you. If you are an existing customer, we may contact you by electronic means with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous FX transaction or negotiation of any FX trades. If you are a new customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your Data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this. If you do not want us to use your Data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please tick the relevant box situated on the quotation request form. Please do bear in mind that by opting out, we will not be able to contact you about products or services that may benefit you;
      9. for general accounting and auditing purposes, including the verification of customer transactions completed or aborted with Transfer Providers;
      10. to notify you about changes to our service;
      11. to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or portable electronic device;
      12. to administer our site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;
      13. to improve our site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your electronic device;
      14. to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so;
      15. as part of our efforts to keep our site safe and secure;
      16. if we start to include any advertising to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and

Any report may be published on our site or published on sites generated by our partners. Any user data contained in the reports will be anonymous or statistical data. It will not be possible to identify you from this information. For example, it may state that 40% of users transferred money to France in September or 75% searched for pound sterling to US dollar transfers;
      5. with our advertisers and advertising networks that require the Data to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others. We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in Birmingham, England or in Austin, Texas). We may make use of the Data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience;

  5. Where we store your Data
    1. The Data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA) for example, to a Transfer Provider. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers.
