Transact365, an international payment gateway provider operating around the world and based in the UK, has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer.
Transact365 said that it had appointed David Lambert to the role.
Lambert was an original co-founder of the firm and has also been a commercial director there.
He has now been given a number of responsibilities as part of the senior role.
He will be responsible for managing the growing merchant client base that the firm has and also building card schemes.
He will also collaborate with the wider senior management group to take the firm into a number of other markets.
Lambert’s appointment comes during a positive period for the company.
The company recently expanded into Latin America and India, having previously operated in Australia, Europe and Asia.
In a statement, Lambert spoke about the performance of the company so far in 2022.
“2022 has been a strong year for us so far, and we have more exciting announcements to come,” he said.
He went on to say that the company was seeing a rise in demand from potential clients – and consequently it was building its offer from there.
“We’re witnessing increasing demand from merchants for our services and we are continuously expanding as a result,” he explained.
“The payments industry is competitive. Since our inception five years ago, our team has worked hard to build a platform that is industry leading in supporting our merchants while delivering a seamless solution.”
He also said that he was “proud” that he was taking on this new position and collaborating with others in the leadership group.
“I’m proud to take on the role of CEO and work alongside the management team to achieve our growth objectives for this year and beyond,” he said.
