  • LianLian Global, which is a financial technology-powered payments platform, will work alongside FlavorCloud to deliver a whole suite of new services for merchants – including speedier delivery, more payments options and a central dashboard.
  • The service has been made available right away, though only those merchants who are based in China are eligible to get the service up and running.
  • A leading figure at LianLian Global described the new move as a chance for Chinese companies to get improved “efficiencies, transparency, and cost savings for Chinese merchants”.

Cross-border payments technology firm LianLian Global has announced a new partnership with the logistics platform company FlavorCloud.

The two firms will work together to provide what they described as “intelligent shopping logic for merchants” who currently use the LianLian service.

The development will mean that customers have access to more complex and sophisticated payment services.

It will also mean that the purchases made can be tracked more easily using a carrier network working across the globe.

Merchants will be able to make decisions more quickly and efficiently.

The new service will also mean that delivery timeframes will reduce for end recipients, in part due to an enhanced customs approval function.

While the new service is not entirely focused on payments, it will mean that payments are centralised in a single dashboard for ease of use.

The new service is believed to be available right away, but only to merchants who are currently based within China.

In a statement, LianLian Global’s chief executive officer David Messenger claimed that the new partnership will mean that cross-border sales will become more “effortless” in future.

Messenger said that his firm is “thrilled” to now be working alongside FlavorCloud.

“We are thrilled to partner with FlavorCloud. This collaboration helps us to further our mission to make cross-border eCommerce effortless for merchants across payments and shipping,” he said.

He went on to say that some of the impetus for the new move had come from customers themselves – with feedback showing that some providers were not offering cost-effective or simple solutions.

“We’ve heard from our customers that cross-border logistics remains a cumbersome and costly affair,” he said.

However, the new pairing will mean that problems are reduced on both the cost and ease fronts.

“Our integrated solution leverages FlavorCloud’s logistics expertise and network to make international shipping easy, affordable and friction-free for our merchants – no matter where they need to deliver,” he said.

He concluded on a positive note: “Together, we’ll create greater efficiencies, transparency, and cost savings for Chinese merchants.”

LianLian Global is a leading global provider of e-commerce technology solutions for those at merchant level.

It is part of the LianLian Group and operates in more than 100 nations and areas around the world.

The company operates in markets such as Asia and Europe.
