DeeMoney has announced a new partnership with Visa to provide cross-border payments and fast money transfers to customers in Thailand beginning in 2023.
The agreement will see the popular Visa Direct service integrated directly within DeeMoney’s international payments platforms for an enhanced and feature-rich customer offering.
The service will provide near-instant international money transfers to over 170 countries in various currencies.
All DeeMoney customers will have to do is enter the recipient's Visa card details to send Thai bhat and 159 other currencies, with payments set to clear the same day.
A report claims the transfers will be completed within 30 minutes, which significantly increases speed and reliability compared to traditional methods that can take several days.
Customers won't have to wait long for the new service, as it is set to launch in 2023.
Commenting on the partnership, DeeMoney CEO Aswin Phlaphongphanich said that working with Visa would facilitate 24/7 real-time payments even at weekends and during bank holidays.
He added: “With the simplicity, speed and proven security it offers, Visa is our ideal partner for near real-time payments.”
DeeMoney says the payment solution will be one of the fastest ways to send money overseas.
The latest agreement builds on DeeMoney’s long-term partnership with cryptocurrency provider Ripple, which opened up low-cost and fast cross-border payments to people in Thailand.
