  • ActiveWorx, which offers a cloud-based payments solution service, has paired up with the FLEETCOR-owned Cambridge Global Payments to offer a new streamlined function for making international payments to businesses.
  • The services offered by Cambridge Global Payments can be used by companies of any size, and will now be offered as a joint service alongside ActiveWorx’s provision.
  • Spokespeople for both Cambridge Global Payments and ActiveWorx said that they were looking forward to helping clients become more efficient.

A major business-to-business accounting services firm has announced a new collaboration with Cambridge Global Payments.

ActiveWorx said that it will work alongside Cambridge Global Payments as part of a new push to help enterprise-level clients make international money transfers.

Cambridge Global Payments has a number of global payments tools in its arsenal, including currency risk management and integrated payments dashboards.

It is especially suited to international payment making, but can be used by firms of any size.

ActiveWorx is a cloud-based payment capability service again aimed at companies.

It resolves a number of payment processing issues by using cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence.

It can also bring down the cost of running an accounts payable function, the firm said.

When the two firms work together, they are expected to provide an enhanced international payment service that is designed to help settle bills.

In statements, senior leaders at both firms were upbeat about the prospects for the new working arrangement – and focused on the benefits that it was likely to bring to customers once rolled out to them.

For ActiveWorx, the company’s chief executive officer said that the “can-do” attitude of the firm’s new partners was a big part of the appeal.

Marty Michael said that he was aiming for the pairing to improve invoice processing systems for clients.

“The Cambridge team has impressed us with their knowledge of global payments and their can-do attitude. Having Cambridge as a partner will help our customers streamline invoice processing and payments internationally,” he said.

On Cambridge Global Payments’ side, the vice president and head of channels and alliances there – Frank Mannarino – agreed that efficiency was a key priority.

“Invoice processing is still considered to be a manual, labor intensive and costly proposition that can negatively impact growth for many businesses,” he explained.

“We’re thrilled to be aligned with ActiveWorx to improve the overall efficiency of AP processing for our mutual clients.”

Cambridge Global Payments is owned and operated by the parent company FLEETCOR, which is in turn listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

It is independent of any bank control and operates in a number of markets around the world, including Australia and North America.

It is regulated in these and other environments.

ActiveWorx, meanwhile, was formerly known as Miria Systems and is based in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
