- Zapier will help Revolut Business users automate apps they regularly use
- The integration will allow users to delegate simple tasks to bots
- Revolut’s move indicates that it knows its customers well, fintech experts say
Challenger bank Revolut just announced that Revolut for Business has integrated with Zapier, an IT and software company based in the United States. According to Revolut executives, Zapier connects the apps businesses use on a daily basis and automates the work that businesses do on these apps. Revolut’s page for its Zapier partnership says: “Instead of spending precious time logging entries in your spreadsheet, then copying those over to another app that you use, the Zapier integration automates a multitude of tasks.”
The integration will empower small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have Revolut accounts. Apart from this nifty feature, businesses will be able to put together solutions that will help them run a smoother operation as well. Fintech observers say that Revolut’s decision to integrate Zapier in its platform is indicative of its market knowledge.
Revolut for Business
Revolut is known for its cross-border payments solutions for individuals who regularly send money abroad but the UK-based neo bank also has a service specifically designed for SME businesses. Of the 5.4 million businesses in the United Kingdom, 99.9% of them are designated as SMEs according to the Federation of Small Businesses. While these businesses employ an estimated 60% of the country’s workforce, banking institutions have not yet addressed the needs of these establishments. A year after the product’s launch, Revolut said that it has “managed to help businesses save over $20 million in fees”. From day one of operations, Revolut for Business gave SMEs access to a banking portal and foreign currency exchange.
