Network International Jordan, a provider of digital commerce-enabling services in the Middle East and Africa, has announced that it will be onboarding a new payment service.

The firm said that it would be implementing QR-based payment service CliQ across a range of payment platforms and point-of-sale systems in Jordan.

CliQ allows customers to scan QR codes to enable speedy transactions from one bank account to another.

It has been brought to market in conjunction with the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), which brings together a big range of payment services.

The new money transfer service will be launched without any fees or charges.

“By adopting the CliQ service and incorporating it into our POS systems and payment platforms, we at Network International are proudly building on our commitment to enhancing the Kingdom’s digital economy and increasing the country’s financial inclusion, to the benefit of local businesses and consumers alike,” said Amjad Al Sadeq, the chief executive officer of Network International Jordan.

“This step has also allowed us to further enrich our partnership with JoPACC, allowing us to continue working together in order to elevate Jordan’s fintech landscape and, ultimately, its financial and digital future,” he explained.

Maha Bahou, the chief executive officer of JoPACC, explained that it was a big step for the international money transfer firm.

“We are proud to announce our latest partnership with Network International Jordan, which is a major milestone in our journey to expand the uptake and usage of digital payments nationwide,” he said.
