- Rebtel, a Swedish international calling provider, has announced that it will be pairing up with the online money transfer firm Ria, a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide, for a new arrangement to help boost cross-border payments.
- Ria’s services will now be embedded directly into the Rebtel online platform, which is widely expected to speed up the process of sending money abroad.
- “We’ve spent over 35 years building an inclusive, real-time payments network that empowers people to send money home, including those people championed by Rebtel,” said a senior spokesperson for Euronet’s Money Transfer Segment.
Ria Money Transfer, which is a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide and a leading international money transfer provider, has revealed a new pairing with Swedish call provider Rebtel.
The goal of the partnership is to increase the ease with which customers of Rebtel can make online money transfers.
It is believed that the new arrangement will allow for faster money transfers to take place.
Ria’s services will now be embedded directly into the Rebtel online platform.
The payment system offered by Ria can be used around the world in 170 nations and territories.
It will be powered by Dandelion, which is an international payments network owned by Euronet.
Svante Pagels, the chief executive officer of Rebtel, said that the company wanted to bring down the barriers that divided people.
“At Rebtel, we believe in knocking down barriers that separate people. It’s our mission to link all migrants with loved ones worldwide,” he said.
He went on to say that the firm was “pleased” to make details of the pairing with Ria public knowledge.
“We are pleased to announce our partnership with Ria Money Transfer. In the next years, we will continue to introduce solutions that ease cross-border transactions while maintaining the same high level of service quality for international calls and financial services,” he added.
For Euronet, Juan Bianchi, the chief executive officer of the Money Transfer Segment, pointed out that there were many different reasons why somebody might want to make an online money transfer.
“Behind every money transfer, there is a story, and it usually starts with someone calling home, caring for family, or making a loved one’s life better,” he said.
He also explained that his firm had worked for over three decades to set up a payments network that offered instant transfers and was “inclusive” in nature.
