- New accounts screen makes it easier for clients to track all their transactions in real time
- Impressive analytics enable users to set a monthly budget
- Payment links for customers who do not use Revolut
The product designers and engineers of UK-based fintech platform Revolut, a digital banking alternative that makes international money transfers in 25 currencies easy, have been working hard to improve their app.
Revolut have modernised the look and feel of the app’s Payments screen, added budgeting controls to the Analytics section, and made it altogether more convenient for non-Revolut customers to send and receive payments, too.
After unveiling Connect, a business banking app store in May, Revolut is making a splash again with the 5.0 version of its own app. According to the company’s representatives, the update makes it easier for clients to manage their money on the go, adding that the 5.0 version is aimed to give clients “a radically better banking experience”.
The Accounts screen was designed with the needs of Revolut clients in mind. It offers an informative summary of daily spending, tracks all transactions, and displays all this information on a new, attractive graph.
Setting a monthly budget for all currencies that clients hold in their apps is now a lot easier, according to Revolut. The British fintech notes that it will create “more budgeting controls” in the future and updates will allow its clients “to set spending limits for individual categories” and “receive clever insights” on where they spend their money.
Revolut’s update also includes a new Payments screen that allows users to send money requests or send payments with just a few clicks. The updated feature can also detect non-Revolut customers nearby and uses this new capability for clients to generate payment links so non-users can receive or send funds as well.
