  • Cross-border payments firm xpate has announced that it has hired a number of new developers to work on the speed of its services.
  • The company has brought on board 35 new team members, it said in remarks to the press.
  • “Our people are at the heart of our culture, and as such, we have assembled a diverse team of talented individuals who not only understand the importance of this ethos, but also offer unparalleled expertise and experience across the financial sector,” said a senior figure at xpate.

xpate, a provider of cross-border payment solutions, has confirmed that its developer team has been expanded significantly.

xpate announced that it has hired 35 new team members, with the ultimate goal being to enhance the speed with which services are offered.

The new developers come from a range of backgrounds and have worked at a number of different – but prominent – companies.

These companies include the cloud infrastructure site Mirantis and AliExpress, which is famous for being a major Chinese provider.

Mihails Shafro, the chief executive officer of xpate, said that the company had been focusing on team growth in recent years.

“The past three years have been something of a whirlwind, in terms of both the success of our product offerings and the growth of our team – specifically developers,” he said.

He added that the company had worked hard since it had been formed, especially when it comes to bringing together “technical ingenuity” with improved “user experience”.

“Since xpate’s inception, we have worked tirelessly to build a company that combines technical ingenuity with a simplified user experience, to empower merchants to capitalise on all the opportunities in cross-border ecommerce,” he explained.

In further remarks, he said that people were very important when it comes to the firm’s specific culture – and that the team he has at his disposal is “diverse”.

“Our people are at the heart of our culture, and as such, we have assembled a diverse team of talented individuals who not only understand the importance of this ethos, but also offer unparalleled expertise and experience across the financial sector.” he said.

“While xpate has witnessed an incredible start to the business, we will certainly not be resting on our laurels.”

The new hires come after the company discovered back in 2021 that it had been awarded what is known as “principal member status” by Mastercard.

This status gave the company a chance to make improvements to its platform and also to provide new services to its customers.
