- Payment platform OnerWay has announced that it is set to collaborate with Tribe Payments – with the latter offering acquirer processing services for Mastercard or Visa payments.
- The new service will focus on the European Economic Area and the UK.
- “Our API-driven approach to payments technology meant we were uniquely placed to help OnerWay access a wealth of functionality and innovative technology in just two months,” said a senior figure at Tribe Payments.
OnerWay, a leading payment platform, has said that it will collaborate with Tribe Payments to push through Visa or Mastercard payments in the UK and the European Economic Area.
The idea is that the two firms will work together to enable OnerWay’s vision of a progressive payment system.
OnerWay is licensed to operate in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority.
It is a cross-border payment provider and specialist acquirer with a focus on linking up online sellers with global customers.
It is believed to have chosen Tribe Payments because of the BIN support it could offer.
Moving forward, the 3D Secure product – which is proprietary to Tribe Payments – will be used to process payments.
In a statement, a leading figure at Tribe Payments explained more about the process of finding a provider that fits the company’s requirements.
Alex Reddish, the firm’s managing director, emphasised the fact that the rollout of the new service would happen “at speed”, across a range of different markets.
“OnerWay needed an acquirer processing solution that could be implemented at speed to support its expansion across the UK and Europe,” he said to the press.
He added that the company’s approach is driven by application programming interfaces (APIs).
“Our API-driven approach to payments technology meant we were uniquely placed to help OnerWay access a wealth of functionality and innovative technology in just two months.”
He went on to say that OnerWay would be using the company’s modular platform as it decided which customer-facing services it wanted to use.
“Furthermore, as OnerWay seeks to expand the range of services it offers, it will be able to take advantage of our modular platform to add, remove and customise new payment products and capabilities at speed without compromising scale or resilience,” he explained.
It is believed that the turnaround and setup time for the new arrangement has been fast.
Tribe’s main offer, ISAAC, is set up with multi-currency BIN support – and it was brought to life for OnerWay in less than three months after the contract was signed, a press statement indicated.
