- Spend management platform Teampay has launched a new partnership with Microsoft Teams to help users integrate approval workflow and purchasing process management tools.
- It comes after a major increase in the number of people working from home and is designed to help companies create a “seamless experience” for workers.
- “Our new Teams offering provides a unique solution for the many companies who depend on Microsoft’s ecosystem and further expands our global enterprise reach,” said a spokesperson for the firm.
Teampay, a spend management company, has revealed a fresh integration option with collaboration platform Microsoft Teams.
The company, which is not otherwise connected to Teams, claims that it was the first firm to link up with the platform in this way.
Teampay will now offer its approval workflow and purchasing process management tools within the Teams framework.
It will also link up with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Finance & Operations initiative, which will help provide more assistance to Microsoft users.
In a statement, a senior figure at Teampay said that the company was making the move after significant alterations to the way that people work.
Andrew Hoag, the firm’s chief executive officer, said these changes were now more important than ever.
“As we continue to adopt new ways of working, supporting employees within their workspace – regardless of physical location – is more critical than ever,” he said.
He went on to say that the new offer would help firms build their international reach.
“Our new Teams offering provides a unique solution for the many companies who depend on Microsoft’s ecosystem and further expands our global enterprise reach.”
He added that the new experience would be “seamless” for workers.
“This groundbreaking solution delivers a seamless experience for employees, reducing friction and increasing satisfaction,” he said.
In its press release, the company shared more information about what it could offer.
Teampay said that it could offer instantly updated visibility about the processes of online money transfers.
“In addition to an enhanced purchasing experience, Teampay provides real-time visibility into spend,” it said.
It went on to say that it also offered “pre-coded transaction data syncs” to help improve the process of collating information about transactions.
“Pre-coded transaction data syncs to the company’s ERP as it happens, automating reconciliation.
“This not only reduces time-consuming manual work for the finance team at month-end close, but also delivers up-to-date actuals for the business.”
Teampay also pledged to help improve reporting capacities.
“Teampay’s robust reporting capabilities provide valuable insights into spend, enabling business leaders and even individual employees to manage their actual spend and commitments against budgets in real time.”
