  • Ripple, a provider of cryptocurrency solutions, has announced that it will be pairing up with Modulr to help Brazil-based organisation Remessa Online access the SEPA and Faster Payments areas.
  • Remessa becomes the first business based in Brazil to collaborate with Modulr.
  • “Remessa Online is thrilled to partner with Modulr, whose unrivalled connections to critical payment infrastructure in the UK and Europe is critical for us to provide the payments experience our customers expect,” said a spokesperson for Remessa Online.

Three providers in the payments space have come together to announce a new offer to customers.

Modulr, which is a payments platform, said that it will be working with cryptocurrency solutions provider Ripple as part of a new push to help Remessa Online with instant global cross-border payments.

The move between the three organisations will mean that Remessa Online can now access the Single European Payments Area (SEPA).

It will also allow Remessa, which is based in Brazil, to access the Faster Payments system, which is located in the UK.

“We’re delighted Remessa Online is our first Brazilian fintech customer to take advantage of our partnership with Ripple,” said Myles Stephenson, the founder and chief executive officer of Modulr.

“We share the goal of making international payments as seamless and fast as possible by removing the hidden inefficiencies hampering international payments today,” he explained.

“At Modulr, we’re looking forward to working with Remessa Online and our long-term partner Ripple on delivering real-time, reliable and transparent payments into the UK and Europe.”

For Remessa Online, meanwhile, the founder and chief strategic officer, Alexandre Liuzzi, is looking forward to working alongside Modulr.

“Remessa Online is thrilled to partner with Modulr, whose unrivalled connections to critical payment infrastructure in the UK and Europe is critical for us to provide the payments experience our customers expect,” he explained.

"Thanks to the partnership, we can now provide our customers with huge benefits in terms of low cost and efficiency.

“This enables them to discover new opportunities, embed new payments functionality into their systems and ultimately expand their own businesses further,” he said.
