Paycell partners with Nium for international money transfers

  • Those who receive funds via Nium through the new partnership will also be allowed to access their money in real time.
  • “Thanks to the Nium and Paycell partnership, international money transfer transactions are now getting easier. It is possible to send money without paying high commission fees and wasting time,” said a spokesperson for Paycell.

Paycell, a Turkish financial services platform, said it would be partnering with Nium, a global name in the international money transfer sector.

The arrangement will allow Paycell’s clients to transfer from one account to the next using Nium’s systems. They will also be able to access their money, via Nium, in real-time.

Serhat Dolaz, CEO of Paycell, said that customer demand was driving changes in the sector. He explained that clients wanted innovative methods that were “low-cost” in nature.

“In parallel with the rapid change in purchasing and payment methods, users are looking for innovative, easy and low-cost solutions in money transfer,” he explained.

He said the firm was working with others to get to a point where it could offer this.

“At Paycell, we continue to increase our cooperation to meet this need. Paycell, which we develop day-by-day in line with the vision of being the richest platform in its field, stands out as Turkey’s most inclusive financial services platform,” he said.

He added that the company was “excited” about the new approach towards speedy payment services thanks to its partnership with Nium.

“We are excited to provide Nium’s fast and secure payment solutions for Paycell’s customers. Thanks to the Nium and Paycell partnership, international money transfer transactions are now getting easier. It is possible to send money without paying high commission fees and wasting time,” he explained.

Frederick Crosby, Nium's Chief Revenue Officer, said that the new arrangement revealed how it would implement its solutions to digital money transfer.

“Our partnership with Paycell showcases how our solutions can be embedded and customised to add value to the world’s largest enterprises,” he said.
