  • MoneyGram has partnered with Jingle Pay to provide consumers in the UAE with a new outbound remittance service.
  • Nine million expatriates in the UAE will be among those who can use the Jingle Pay app to send money abroad to more than 200 countries.
  • MoneyGram has also completed a minority investment in Jingle Pay as it continues its expansion in the Middle East.

MoneyGram, a financial services company specialising in cross-border payments, has announced a new partnership with Jingle Pay that will allow consumers in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to send money worldwide.

The firm will power new real-time capabilities within the Jingle Pay app to ensure fast, safe and convenient transfers.

It means that consumers in the UAE can now download and use Jingle Pay to send money to more than 200 countries.

This is good news for the 9 million expatriates who live and work in the UAE and demand an excellent money transfer service to send payments to friends, family and other acquaintances.

MoneyGram CEO Alex Holmes said that the firm’s investment in Jingle Pay is important at a time when “innovative digital offerings” are taking traditional banking to the next level.

The move will also help MoneyGram to expand further in the Middle East, where it is committed to accelerating the evolution and take-up of digital payments.

The UAE appears to be a key target market as nine in 10 of the population are expatriates who require reliable services for outbound remittances.

Jingle Pay CEO Amir Fardghassemi was also delighted with the new partnership.

He said that Jingle Pay will now leverage MoneyGram’s expertise in remittance clearing and its extensive network of destinations to improve its app.

“Jingle Pay is the super-app transforming the daily financial lives of consumers seeking accessible, instant and innovative money services,” he added.

Consumers in the UAE can now access fast money transfers via the Jingle Pay app, which has already gone live.
