Moneycorp sets up shop in France

  • Moneycorp, a leading provider of money transfer services, has announced that it has commenced operations in France.
  • The team will be headed by an experienced industry veteran named Cyril Léger, who is a specialist in forex and treasury.
  • “We are ecstatic that following our recent excellent financial reports, we are formally opening our doors in France. France is our sixth office in Europe, the Middle East and Africa region, which also includes the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Romania, and Dubai,” said a senior figure at MoneyCorp.

Moneycorp, a provider of cheap money transfer services, has announced that it has commenced operations in France.

The firm said that it had opened up in the country with a team that includes Cyril Léger, who is a veteran of the industry and has extensive experience in the world of foreign exchange payments and treasury payments.

“Moneycorp is well-positioned for long-term growth, and we’re excited to expand our physical presence in Europe with the opening of our new French branch,” said Bryan McSharry, the chief executive officer of Moneycorp.

“Our platform provides robust and secure payment solutions, as well as a dedication to personal service that Moneycorp has prided itself on for over 40 years,” he said.

Koen Vanpraet, who is the chief executive of Moneycorp’s Europe, Middle East and Africa branch, said that the move would help boost the company’s presence in Europe in particular.

“We are ecstatic that following our recent excellent financial reports, we are formally opening our doors in France. France is our sixth office in Europe, the Middle East and Africa region, which also includes the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Romania, and Dubai,” he explained.

“This is a significant milestone that exemplifies our ambitious growth goals in Europe and in the fintech payments space, and we look forward to continuing our efforts with the launch of Moneycorp France,” he added.

The company is well known in the money transfer field, and dates back to 1979 in terms of its original founding.

Since then, it has grown across the world.

It picked up licences to operate in key markets such as the US as well as Spain.

This phase of growth has happened mainly in the last decade or so.
