  • Finaro, a global payment company, has paired up with Ginger Payments to boost customers in the Nordics region.
  • The new pairing will see financial organisations in the Nordics region targeted as potential initial clients – especially those looking to bring about “merchant-aligned services”.
  • “It is exciting to see our footprint in the Nordics grow, and we are delighted to be partnering with Ginger on growing even further,” said a senior figure at Finaro.

Ginger Payments and Finaro, two organisations in the international money transfer world, have announced a new collaboration to fund expansion into the Nordics.

The new pairing will see financial organisations in the Nordics region targeted as potential initial clients.

It is expected that those seeking to implement “merchant-aligned” services – like payment service providers – will initially be targeted as potential customers. Financial technology institutions are also likely to be on the list.

The new approach between the two will see the firms offer simplistic payment solutions, including point-of-sale transaction acquisition services and payment gates.

Joachim de Boer, the firm’s COO, said that the new application programming interface-based strengths of Ginger’s approach would leave the firm’s customers in a good position.

“From end to end, Ginger’s cloud-based API strengths and our full-stack eCommerce payment offering give clients the ability to build a new solution, replace their current solution completely, or add innovative new modules to their existing services,” he explained.

He also said that improved optimisation and data would help.

“We also provide transaction approval optimization and enhanced data insights to drive future growth. By combining forces with Finaro, we have created a dynamic collaboration, offering a complete one-stop-shop for payment components, covering every APM from Apple Pay to QR code,” he added.

Achiya Fried, the COO for Finaro, said that the move was “exciting” and pointed out all the positives involved with the two firms now working together.

“It is exciting to see our footprint in the Nordics grow, and we are delighted to be partnering with Ginger on growing even further,” he explained.

“Finaro’s smart acquiring services, robust gateway platform, and exceptional track record in boosting transaction approval rates will elevate Ginger’s presence, enabling them to offer white-labelled transformational PSP services that will open access to new markets and opportunities for all parties involved,” he added.
