  • “Being the only digital banking brand in Canada to offer international remittances is one of the many ways that Simplii is delivering on those expectations”, says Simplii’s head

Canadian banking name Simplii Financial has announced the launch of two new products designed to enable cost-effective online money transfer services for consumers in the North American country.

The first new product, Global Money Transfer, is a fee-free cross-border payments service designed to give Canadian customers the chance to send remittance transactions to over 75 nations around the world.

Major Asian economies such as India and China are represented, while Canada’s neighbour the USA is also on the list.

Turnaround times promised by Simplii are fast, and many transfers will be able to be completed in one working day.

The new service will have no transfer fees, although it will also have a daily transfer limit of a maximum of $30,000.

In addition to this announcement, Simplii also said that it would be launching a foreign cash delivery service for Canadian customers.

This service will also have no transaction charges, and over 60 currencies will be available. Users can choose to either have a home delivery or to pick up the currency at a Canada Post branch, which is a delivery service in the country.

According to Simplii’s Head Aayaz Pira, the international money transfer service will be “a fast and reliable” way to send cash.

"Whether you're supporting loved ones far away or need to manage affairs like paying for tuition abroad, Simplii Financial Global Money Transfer is a fast and reliable way to send money overseas with no fees and competitive rates", he said.

"Our digitally-minded clients expect simplicity and the ability to fulfill their banking needs from anywhere, and being the only digital banking brand in Canada to offer international remittances is one of the many ways that Simplii is delivering on those expectations."

He also said that the new online foreign cash delivery service launched by the firm will “eliminate the hassle”.

"When you are planning a trip overseas your to-do list can feel endless, from organizing transportation to the airport to making sure your suitcase meets the weight restrictions, and remembering to order and pick up your foreign currency can be time consuming", he said.

"By using Simplii Financial Foreign Cash to have your foreign currency delivered straight to your door at no extra cost, you can eliminate the hassle and save time to focus on other details – like remembering your passport."

Simplii is a digital-friendly banking provider in Canada, which has been described by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Banks in the country. It has almost two million customers.
