- Azimo, the UK-based digital transfer service, has recently launched 24/7 remittances across Europe.
This new service means that millions of users in any of the 22 European countries Azimo serves can now make or receive instant cross-border payments 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In most cases, international payments will post to a recipient's account within an hour. Recipients can even collect their money over the weekend, making Azimo's international transfer service one of the fastest, most convenient digital payment methods on the market.
Customers can choose to collect their cash at any of Azimo's hundreds of thousands of pickup locations around the world , or have payments deposited directly to their bank accounts or mobile wallets. Azimo even lets users send payments to top off prepaid cell phone minutes for loved ones overseas.
Payments can be made quickly and easily through the Azimo app, or users can send money using only their recipient's cell phone number. Recipients get a text message when their funds are available with a link to the Azimo app download so they can claim their payment. This helps speed up the payments process significantly, as users no longer need to have their recipients' account information or bank IBAN numbers in order to initiate a transfer.
Azimo's international transfer service has made it possible for over one million customers to send and receive money from family and friends abroad faster, with lower fees than many other digital payment services.
"When you need money urgently, delays and weekend closures can be disastrous," says Azimo COO Richard Ambrose.
"Our new weekend service has been designed with speed in mind, enabling money to get where it's needed most."
Azimo already offers fast cross-border payment services to customers in over 195 countries and supports more than 60 global currencies — most payments are delivered within a few hours. In addition to instant payments across Europe, Azimo also offers instant payments to the Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya, Latin America and other countries.
